moms of 6+ month olds

Do you recall if your kiddos got their sleep on in a major way after their 6 month shots and/or their flu shots? 

A got her 6 month shots & her first seasonal flu vax at the pedi yesterday.  Last night she crashed out for the day at 4:00 pm and today I put her down for a nap at 3:30 pm and she's still asleep.  Confused

Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining about the sleep, it's just that she hasn't had her 2nd course of solids for the last two days & she's really starting to stink because we've been skipping her evening routine (& her much needed bath) due to her sleep.

Anyways....just wondering if this is normal (in the most relative way possible) or if my daughter has entered the twilight zone of infant sleep.

    DD slept a LOT after her 6 mo shots, and she didn't even get all of them.

    DD had her shots last Thursday morning. Her naps were longer than usual, but at night it was the same sleep pattern. So no advice about A's hibernation.

    Funny, I was just telling a friend earlier how much Layna sleeps after she gets shots. 

    Yes.  Layna would sleep a lot for the day or so following her shots.  She usually gets a low grade fever, but she just sleeps it off :)

    DD had her 6 month shots one week and her flu vaccines the next. Unfortunately, my little "wake up every few hours" sleeper maintained her sleepless patterns for both sets of shots. Indifferent

    Her older sister, however, always slept really well after any sort of vaccine. Smile

    I'm no help.  Luke only gets 2 shots per visit.  He hasn't crashed since his first shot appt.

    Yeppers. He took a great nap and then gave us the only decent night's sleep we had the first year after his 6 month shots. He was over it the next day, though.
