so this morning I am down 3 pounds in a week. WTF? I think its because its getting harder to eat since there is less room. I have added eggs to my breakfast extra fruit and protien, but I wanted to know if anyone else experienced this. I should say that at 30 weeks, I have gained 40 pounds (this mornings number), so its not like I am "behind" in the weight gain lol, but I still want to gain a pound a week for the coming weeks.
Also, have any of you read about terb and the side effects? I had some cramping today so I took one of my pills that I was given by my dr for this very purpose. Its no where near the dose they give you at the hospital, but reading into the side effects scared me. should i just put dr. google away?
Re: losing weight and terb ?s
I'm not sure about the weight, but I think if the babies are still growing well, there is little need to worry.
I got one dose of Terb in the hospital a few days ago, but it was a shot. My side effects were nervousness, shakes, feeling very warm and pounding heart. It lasted 45 mins to an hour. It wasn't a lovely sensation, but it wasn't unbearable either. I was also a little nauseous, but not sure if that was related.
I will always say 'use google with caution'. I have gotten some good info from google and some horrible.
Good luck!!
Seems to me that weight loss would be fine so long as the babies are growing.
I haven't heard of terbs, sorry, can't help you there.
I've heard of a lot of people losing a few lbs toward the end. It could even be water weight or something. I think as long as you're conscious of getting enough calories and the babies are growing normally, you should be OK.
Definitely take Dr. Google with a grain of salt. Terb does have a long list of adverse effects, but it's very safe when taken as directed. It's used in higher doses for asthma patients, and even then I have never seen any of the effects, personally. (Used to be an ER nurse, work in a poison center now.) The only time I have heard of the adverse effects is after an actual overdose of it.
