DD is sort of weaning herself, but it;s a very slow process. She still nurses about five or six times a day. More if she wakes up at night. I know it's a lot, but it's actually one less feeding than a month ago.
She still uses nursing as a pacifier, which I kind of enjoy. It calms us both down and centers us. However, I would like to move towards weaning her completely at 12 months or shortly thereafter.
Those who are still nursing this late in the game, how often do you do it?
Re: 10 months old and still nursing frequently?
"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."
DD dropped to four feedings a day at 10 months. She was eating a ton of solids though, sometimes she would eat more than me at lunch. Plus, she was never much of a night time nurser.
