anyone suck in their belly?

to see how much is baby bump vs just your belly?   my husband caught me doing this in the mirror the other day and said why are you doing that? It's supposed to be blown out like that there's a baby in there.

I just feel my belly size changes during the day -I am only 18 weeks pregnant......just always wondering how much is baby belly vs my never been flat stomach......

I hope baby is growing ok in there........don't have appt until Jan 4th for big US.

    Mine is really firm now. I couldn't suck it in if I tried.

    i do! i can suck in my "fat" and the baby bump stays so i know at least some of the bloat and chubbyness is baby. of course the baby is REALLY low (my doc couldnt find the heartbeat yesterday and finally found it at my pubic line..lol) so i suck it in yes.

    LOL....I did just 30 mins ago on the elevator at work so the person riding with me would not make a fuss over my belly.  I HATE being the center of attention.

    I can suck in part of it, just like I've always been able to suck in my stomach partways. Even when it was flat, there was still bloating, water retention, etc going on in there, just like with everyone, lol. But now even when I suck it in there is still a big old bump!

    I can still suck my belly in somewhat, there is still a bump, but it is flattened. My belly was pretty flat to begin with. This is my 2nd pregnancy too. I wouldn't worry. Every carrys differently. I was talking with my OB about this because I am pretty small again this time. He said it depends on the size of your torso and how deep your pelvis is and bump size is not indicative of baby size. I have a long torso and and wide hips, so that's where my baby is hiding.

    i can't suck it in anymore.... i could, until a couple of weeks ago....esp my "upper fat roll" but now it is just hard and it doesn't change.

    You can't really tell a difference between my sucked in belly and the baby belly. It's kind of nice to not worry about having a flat stomach anymore!

    My husband caught me too and told me to stop so I don't hurt the baby. Too funny!

    Yes, I do this :)  I consistently suck in my stomach when I'm not pg so I sort of "let it go" now but can still suck in the upper part of my stomach.

    DON'T DO IT!  YOU'RE SQUISHING THE BABY!!!

    j/k :-)  I do on occasion, and then I feel absurdly guilty like I really AM squishing baby.  (But at least I know I'm absurd!)

    OMG im 18 wks too and my US is Jan 5. R u also due like May 22 or somewhere around there? Anyway yes i do it too...in the morning it can be like a little pooch lol then in the afternoon before I eat its like totally big! im like OHKAYYYY whats going on in there. I wanna know whats that about too.

    I feel the same way. Although I have a definite baby bump, I know if I just let my belly hang out relaxed it's some baby and some belly fat!

    Mines all hard now but when I was about 18 wks I did that yes :-)

    I noticed my belly showed more in the evening, but I assumed it was a bit of baby, a bit bloat and a bit of whatever I scarfed down for lunch, snacks and dinner that day :-D

    Either way your body is changing because of that baby so I vote it's baby no matter what. Your body would not look the way it does if the baby wasn't there......

    Haha. Thats what my hubby said too. But his exact words were, 'Ur squshing the lil fella'. So funny.

    I still suck mine in every now and then thou cos my bump doesnt really look like one yet so I just look like a big belly or beer belly person. Smile And I lost my waistline completely this week.
