Hi ladies! I know there are a bunch of us due in mid to late January/early February, and I was just wondering how you are all holding up? Do you think you have the energy to make it through the holidays? ![]()
I'm finally done working (on short term disability) and it feels soooo good! I feel and look like a beached whale, but when I take a good nap, I feel so much better and usually get a second wind/burst of energy in the evenings. DH and I are going to really take it easy for the holidays. Luckily, all of our family is local.
As of right now, baby A is measuring 6 lbs 4 oz and baby B is 5 lbs 5 oz. Yikes!
I hope you all are feeling well and enjoying the quiet before the chaos hits! ![]()
Happy Holidays!
Re: **January MoM's to be...how are you holding up?**
Wow! You've done a good job growing those babies! At my u/s last week (33 weeks, 5 days), Baby A (boy) was 4 lbs, 13 oz and Baby B (girl) was 4 lbs, 15 oz. My comfort and energy level seem to vary day-by-day. For the past few days I've felt pretty good and have been sleeping really well. I tend to take it easy as much as I can (not easy with a 2 year old at home!), and I think daily naps/rest have been key for me.
For a while I was a little worried about making it through the holidays -- our mantra has been "let's just make it through Christmas" -- but I think we're going to make it. I've been joking that I'm going lay around the house with my legs crossed for the next couple of days just to be sure. My ILs are coming on Thursday and it will be nice to have the extra pairs of hands to help out for a few days.
I just can't believe that I'll be 36 weeks on NYE and that's less than 10 days away now! We're getting so close! Good luck to you!
Not too bad, though I can't find a comfy position to sleep in at all, and that is seriously draining me. I also have a sinus cold. Boo. Typical for me this time of year, but no fun just the same.
My last u/s was at 33w 3d and Baby A was measuring 4 lb. 15 oz. Baby B was 5 lb. even.
Just had my 34w OB appt. and my first NST. Everything looks good. So...here's to making it through Christmas, hopefully, and having another appt. and NST next week on Tuesday.
On another note, my DS turns 2 on Thursday this week (Christmas Eve). Hard to believe!
I really feel like the waiting game has began now! Christmas is all done, nursery is all done and now it's just waiting for these little girls to arrive!
At my 32 week u/s they were both measuring 5 lbs. and I know they have been growing every day since! I am at least
I started NSTs and AFI u/s last week and everything looked good. My BP has been a little high so we have been keeping a close eye on that.
Beached whale is about the perfect description at this point! All for good reason though. Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday's!
Im miserable and whiny
OB is planning a scheduled c for 37 weeks, so tenatively Jan 26. Im still working FT but will beg to be put on bedrest when I see the OB in an hour.
I cant sleep, cant sit in my office chair w/out my pubic bone pinching and have constant BH contractions. I can barely walk b/c of the pelvic separation and am just DONE. I think part of it is that Im only 5'2" and have no torso to carry these boys. I just want to be at home on the couch.
Luckily, everything is looking good. My cervix is long and closed, NST last week was great and the babies are growing on schedule. I need to stay positive and be grateful that I have carried them this far.
