Sorry for another stroller post.
Anyhow, is the Maclaren Twin Triumph worth the extra money or have you all found that other lightweight twin side-by-side strollers work just as well. For example on Babies R Us the Maclaren got 4/5 stars (at $264) but so did the Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport All-Weather ($89). Any other recs?
I don't want to do what I did with maternity pants and buy 3 cheap pairs that keep falling down instead of the one good, expensive, pair that would stay up. But I don't want to overspend if the inexpensive ones work just as well.
Re: is the maclaren worth it? other lightweight recs?
My sons are getting close to 10 months old and since the boys grew out of their travel system, we only use the Jeep stroller. It is really lightweight and I find I can get through any doors, grocery aisles, and it is great for places like the zoo because both boys like to see what is going on. I can't tell you if it is better than any other strollers out there, but I never felt the need to use anything else. I wish it had storage. That is my biggest complaint, but we have always managed.
i have never owned a mcclaren - so can't comment on them being great or not- but I do have a single and double combi (cosmo= single ,and the sport = twin) and really like them. I love how they fold (very small/thin)- and the carrying strap. I love the sun canopy- it's very big (unlike many of the umbrella strollers). I love that it has front bars- b/c Griffin has always liked to lean forward on the bar to look around.... all around- great strollers for the size/money.
ETA: they also have a full recline- so can be used from infant and up - and are great for naps. We started using the single when Griffin outgrew the infant seat - it was a great thing to take over the snap and go (he outgrew his infant seat at 5mo so we needed something for him to nap in, etc)
The Espirit was rec. by a few twin moms so that's what we went with and so far, we love it. https://www.albeebaby.com/esprit-sun-speed-duo-double-stroller-red.html
I have also heard good things about the maclaren, but have no experience with it.
They were. All models. But we just received a Twin Triumph as a gift and it came with the hinge covers, which was nice.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
the esprit is what I have... we got it on shnoop when it was like $75 and it is completely worth the $75
I think it's probably worth more than that but I'm not sure I'd pay full price...
it folds very small and is lightweight, easy to maneuver and my kids actually like riding in it better than they like riding in the BOB.
