Married 5/31/08 * TTC#1 9/09 - 2/11
after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!

    I posted in that thread. I dunno why I was so grumpy.. I think it's because she took my Mom's perfectly nice maiden name (Kennedy) and tried to make it you-neek.

    this reminds me of my friends name. Her mom was illiterate and loved the name Danielle, but since you couldn't spell she sounded it out and her name is "Danyel"

    I'm a teacher, so I see these you-neek names daily.  They're truly a nightmare for some kids.

    My parents were a bit creative with my name but not to that level. There is a student at my school whose name is Ambrr! Like brr I am cold. I like different names but that is just stupid.

    I posted in that thread, too. I see both sides,since my nephew has a youneekly spelled name. Can't hold it against the kid, and I'm not the type to judge people based on their names, but appearantly some people are.

    IMO - If you want your child to have a "unique" name, name them something that isn't on the top 10 baby name list.  lol  If you want it to be VERY unique - spring for the top 100 baby name list.

    Why does spelling make a name unique???  I don't say, "Hi, my name is Christina.  C-H-R-I-S-T-I-N-A."

    I think one of my favs was a pg nestie listing out names for voting. I think her last name was Barker and one of the names she and her H liked was Unique.

    LOL. I named my cat Nique for unique. And he was. Wouldn't name my kid that though! He died unexpectedly. Aw, hadn't thought of him for awhile.
