it is my role each year to buy each person in my office a calendar. I used to go all out and get super nice calendars, but the caliber of gifts I would receive in return made me quickly end that practice.
Everyone gets, from me, a calendar from the dollar store.
In return, I receive already expired candy (candy canes that are not "canes" anymore because they are broken), *another* scarf (better than the glass heart necklace on a string I got last year), and a table runner with -- wait for it -- pom poms on it.

I got a pen that lights up when you press down on it, and it has the logo of one of our clients on it. LOL
