I woke up with a minor sore throat this morning. No fever, no runny nose, so likely its just from dry air, but I can't be sure.
I had an OB appt at 10am this morning, so I called them to let them know I had a sore throat (and nothing else) I just wanted to let them know in case they had a 'mask' policy or could reschedule me for later in the day when it wouldn't be busy.
Yeah, the receptionist said not to come in. I got rescheduled for TWO WEEKS FROM NOW! That will make 6 weeks since I've last seen them! I won't see them now until I am 35 weeks? I thought I was supposed to be going weekly or at least bi-weekly at this point.
If I was only 15 or 16 weeks along, it wouldn't be an issue, but come on. I was at L&D having contractions just 4 days ago! I guess they are counting that as a mini appointment. Ha ha. Sorry, this does not seem acceptable to me. I'm having one of the OB's call me back when she gets a chance.
This also means that I won't be seeing the MFM for 2 more weeks either. It will have been almost 8 weeks since I've seen them! (I have to get a referral from my OB before I see them, and they are pretty much booked for the next 2 weeks too)
I'm sure I'll be fine, and its just 2 more weeks... but as close as I am to the end, 2 weeks is a lot!

Usually.
I spoke to my fav OB (my usual one) and she said she could see me first thing on Monday. Thats still 5 days away, but she said she was comfortable with that. Since I'm going to be doing a NST, its really the first open appointment they have. They will be closed Thursday - Sunday for Christmas.
Anyway, I can wait 5 days, at least its not 2 weeks!
And I think I actually AM getting a cold, so maybe it was all for the best.
Oh good! Much better : )
