    I think Erik is fine if you're Scandinavian-if not, stick with Eric.

    Ditto.  The only way I've ever liked Erik was when it was the name of a little boy I babysat named Erik Swanson.

    I chose Eric because that's the "normal" spelling. But, if either of you have a scandanavian background, Erik would be ok.

    My brother is an Erik too - just wanted to FYI, he has gone through his whole life having things spelled Eric and having to correct people.  I personally like the spelling, but when even our great aunt can't get it right after almost 30 years.... just something to consider
