Do they not have the ability to go out on their own and shop for gifts?
My brother and dad have both called this morning (3 days before Christmas!) wanting to know what my mom might want for Christmas. I give them ideas, and then they want to know if I could go buy the gifts and wrap them. This happens every year. When I helped them out last year, they never even paid me for the gifts. I told them they could go out and buy their own gifts this year for her. They are both on vacation this week while I am actually working. Seriously, is it that hard to go buy something and wrap it when I tell them exactly what she wants?
And my husband always tells me to buy a few things for myself, and he will wrap them up and give them to me. Then, he wraps them right in front of me while asking for assistance with the wrapping.

MH does this - I was in charge of gift buying/making and wrapping, card addressing and sending, getting the house decorated... all while working, still cooking and cleaning... and so on. Then last night I told him I had an appointment for a haircut tonight, and he freaked out. Why do I always have so much going on? Why this week (never mind that this is when my normal 6 weeks fell) of all times? Why can't I just stay home?
OMMFG. I nearly strangled him.
Then I gave in and rescheduled my appointment.
Yep. My present, which I picked out while with DH because he couldn't possibly do it on his own from the list I gave him, is sitting in the closet waiting to be wrapped. I refuse to wrap it. 90% sure it will show up christmas day unwrapped with a bow on it. Grrrr. Its got to be in their DNA.
