I don't have my copy handy @ work & I'm wondering what they have to say about the Eddie Bauer Bassinet - Newport Collection. I can't remember if they say anything about it or not. What do they recommend as the best bassinet? Thanks!
They actually don't recommend buying a bassinet at all because they say a newborn will do fine in a full-size crib. It also says you should just borrow one from a friend if you want one or buy a Pack N Play. The only other one it mentions/recommends is the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper.
ETA: The bassinet section is only a page and a half long. And, they recommend the Graco brand pack n plays.
I don't have the book handy but I seem to remember that they didn't really recommend any bassinet...it's been a while though since I opened the book though so I could be completely wrong.
FWIW Consumer Reports rates the Graco Travel Lite Crib/Bassinet pretty well.
Thanks ladies. I'd prefer not to have a bassinet, but we are limited on space right now & until we move & I can make his nursery, baby will be sleeping in our room. A regular pack n play or his crib will be too big, so unfortunately I have no choice but a bassinet!
