ergo infant insert?

what was the consensus on these for tiny newborns? i have a pouch sling but it's already bothering my neck/shoulder. i'm about to borrow a friend's moby and i already have an ergo. was thinking dh could use the ergo + insert too. anyone have luck w/ the insert? TIA!

    Baby C LOVED the infant insert in the Ergo.  It was very comfortable for us, too.  He hated any other sling, so we were glad that he liked the insert.

    This!  But I've also heard the opposite.  IDK...I loved the insert UNTIL it hit July.  It was WAY too hot to wear the Ergo with the infant insert July - Sept.

    I personally hated the infant insert and preferred the Moby when she was a newborn. I'll sell you my insert if you don't already have one. It's the green one.
