HEB cakes?

has anyone had an HEB cake? they are pretty cheap compared to my usual go to cake bakery and they give you a free 8" smash cake for baby. but how do their cakes taste? i have no problem spending more $$ if it's not good, but why pay more if i don't have to right?

    I've enjoyed HEB cakes too in the past.  I do NOT however appreciate the decorating skills of the HEB on 1431 and Parmer.  DD's baptism cake looked like a 10-yr old decorated it and it was $30!  It could have been a fluke - but I was really peeved and we were stuck b/c of the timing of everything.  Ever since then, I've gotten all our special occasion cakes at costco.  $16.99 for a 1/2 sheet cake can't be beat.  Decorations are limited, but they're always very well done and we always get tons of compliments on their cakes. YUM.

    I really like Central Market cakes.  I don't know if they're the same since it's HEB too, but they are really good.

    That's where we got Little Man's 1st Birthday cupcakes/smash cake.  Just be sure to ask for the elite icing--it tastes better than the buttercream.
