So, since Friday afternoon, my tailbone has been KILLING me. It doesn't matter what I'm doing or if I've been sitting or standing. By the time night rolls around, I can hardly walk. My DH had to pick me up and put me in the tub! I've tried warm bath, heating pad, ice, everything. I'm just curious to see if anybody else has had this, and if so, what have you done to relieve it? TIA!
Re: Tailbone Pain
I've had this for WEEKS now. Its not so bad that I can't walk, but sometimes when I try to get up from a sitting position, its so painful I almost want to cry....
Nothing has relieved it sadly.
Yes, I've had this since early on. The only thing that really helps me is a heating pad and laying on the couch with my back up against the back of the couch.
I was going to physical therapy for a while, but insurance stopped paying for it so i had to stop going. It helped a lot though!
Like you, I tried everything to get that pain to go away. The day before yesterday I finally found something that works. Reike (pronounced ray-key) massage. It only takes a few minutes, and its safe during pregnancy. Only downside is someone I don't know too well had to touch my tailbone so it was a little awkward to have a semi-stranger with his hand on the bottom of my spine...lol.
My fiance's mom had an old friend over and he's a "Reike Master" I don't know where or how I'd find one if it weren't for the "friend of a friend" situation. Maybe google it?
I sit on the Boppy I had with DS (we're getting a new one, lol, so it won't be squished)
It feels good because there is no pressure on my tailbone
