Don't freak out. This is a phase, and it will end. He's not weaning; he's having a difficult patch and he needs your help to work through it.
Has he been sick? Have your daily routines changed recently? Has he become more mobile recently? Has he bit you recently?
Keep offering the breast as often as you can, in dim, quiet rooms. Don't make nursing feel like punishment to him. My son had a strike not long ago, and it was exasperating. I pumped and cup-fed for a few days, and eventually he went back to nursing. But it was so frustrating.
