DD has a cold, no fever and no ear infection (I took her to the pedi to be sure). We are supposed to fly to visit for Christmas tomorrow morning. We have been looking forward to this trip for a while but now I feel guilty for taking her because she is sick. I have the same cold so I know it is mild (at least for me) but annoying. Would you travel if your LO were sick?
Re: Would you fly/travel with LO if they were sick?
Are you concerned about DD being uncomfortable or the other people on the plane catching what she has?
I've flown 2x with DD when she had a minor cold and I had one myself. I figured it's cold/flu season, if they didn't get it from DD they'd get it from somewhere else and a little cold is nothing compared to eating the $$ from a non-refundable plane ticket!!
Sure, that's an @ssy way to think about it but I wasn't going to cancel 2 trips on the off chance that someone might catch a cold.
Ha, I guess I am horrible because I am really concerned about her being miserable. We have the entire row to ourselves (DH, DD and I) both ways so she won't be directly breathing on anyone. I guess I am mostly worried about her developing an ear infection from the cold and me not knowing. She's never had one so all I know to watch for is a fever, which she hasn't had. I would hate to put her on a plane with an ear infection.
