We usually send out about 50 holiday cards and get about 15 in return. Many of the cards we usually get trickle in right up until Xmas eve so I'm not sure how we'll fair this year.
I think we actually got more cards than we normally do, but I also sent the bulk of them out super early this year... it seems the earlier I send them out, the quicker they return to me.
I do know some people on our list only send ones out to those that they recieve cards from (as in, as they receive the cards, they address their card to the sender).

Oooh - good point! I totally sent ours out late this year - mine are usually out on TG weekend. That probably explains it. I was feeling like a loser/leper because we didn't get nearly the amount of cards we usually do!
Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
We got a lot less but since we moved, some may be in the process of being forwarded. I've also noticed reading FB comments and such that many of my friends were late in mailing them, we were too. Hoping to see a few more on the mantle soon!
We've gotten less, and it's bummed me out. I tried to rationalize that maybe since we moved in November (and before that in April...so TWICE since last year), we kind of fell off some people's radar.
And, I didn't order nearly as many cards this year as last. Todd was REALLY into doing iPhoto cards this year, and while I was too and that was all fine and fabulous, they were $1.99 each. Ouch. So, I ordered exactly as many as we had on our list and no extras, and now I feel bad that I've gotten some cards from new friends.
Anyway, I think a lot of people are not sending cards this year. Or maybe ordered fewer b/c of $. I getting cards, so next year I'm NOT ordering from iPhoto, and I will be buying a zillion to send to everyone I've ever known. LOL.
we're getting less it seems but we also moved in april and not everyone has the new address.

We've gotten a lot more this year, which I think is due to what I'm calling my massive family PR campaigns. Birth announcements went out to like everyone we know and all of our relatives, and I sent out our Xmas cards pretty early this year. As a result, I think more people simply have our address and have us on their radar screen this year than previous years.

We got less. I actually haven't even ordered ours yet and am very close to deciding to just not do cards this year. If I do, they will be Happy New Year cards. I'm just short on money and time and figure I'm not the only one in that boat.
I will add that we did not send them this year. Budget was way tight, and we've simply run out of time. In the past I did holiday cards after Xmas and kept them generic or New Years greetings, but this year nothing. I'm sad about it actually.

We got WAY less. I sent ours right after Thanksgiving and we have maybe 10? Like way, way less than ever.
I comment on it every.single.time I pass them. DH is getting quite tired of me complaining about it.
