I'm super p!ssed.
I got a Carter's mattress pad for my baby shower and I washed and dried it per the instructions. (Cold water, tumble dry low heat) LINK
I didn't read the reviews on it before I registered for it. (Registered for it in store.) I figured, with a name like Carter's, it shoudl be fine, right? Wrong.
It shrunk. (I know they are supposed to fit snugly, but even when you get it on the mattress and all pulled tight it won't lay smooth...the padded part actually shrunk about 3 inches on each side.)
Will BRU take it back? It was fulfilled on my registry, but I washed/dried it.
I had an AWESOME mattress pad for DS...I think I got it at Target. I want the kind that actually fit over the mattress (similar to a fitted sheet) instead of the ones that lay on top. Which ones did you ladies get?
Re: Crib mattress pads and BRU returns question
Hopefully since it was on your registry and seems to be defective, they'll take it back without a problem.
We got a waterproof pad from BRU that goes over the whole mattress. I can't remember now whether we picked up the Carter's brand or Especially for Baby.

Have you washed/dried it and put it on the crib?
I have no matress yet, and no matress pad...maybe I should do that?? lol
I wouldn't tell them I washed/dryed it. I would just tell them it doesn't fit on my mattress. I mean, it's true, it doesn't.
I just got a mattress protector that fits like a crib sheet from Costco. https://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11302377&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|48022|76405&N=4040790&Mo=13&No=3&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=76405&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&topnav=
I washed and dried them and they still both fit perfectly.
