Hey! I'm lurking a little. Got another BFN on Sunday, which would be 14DPO.

Now that the crying is over I am pissed and just want to stop the meds so AF can come. I'm mad that I have to go in there on Christmas Eve just to prove what I already know.

I am so sorry hon. I was driving in my car and just hoping and hoping that you were going to get good news this weekend.

I would be pissed too. I still don't understand why they are waiting so long. Do they count the conception date as 14 dpt? So weird.

Thanks. I'll be okay. I'm just so thankful that I tested instead of waiting for my beta. Christmas Eve would have been miserable.

They said they always do betas 18 days after retrieval. I'm going to email my nurse and see if I can do it a couple days early. On to cycle #2! I'm excited to hear what my doctor has planned for next time.

How is your acupuncture going? I really want to try it next time!

I'm so sorry Omega. When I didn't see a post from you this weekend I feared the worst.

And I know what you mean about stopping the meds, it can be really uncomfortable to continue taking them when your body wants AF to come. Is there any way you can call your doctor to get the beta bumped up to today?

Again, I'm really sorry. It is so frustrating and unfair.

I know, I will always test. I dont' want to be surprised, either. Whatever to 18 days, that seems like overkill to me! That's what my clinic does too- hmpf.

I hope they have something good planned, although since you had such a good response to your last protocol, they might do the same thing. They might just add assisted hatching or something. I don't know much about it but I do know they use it often after a BFN IVF cycle to help the embroys implant.

I only went once so far, I am going again on Wednesday aftn. I liked it though. We'll see if it helps!

Thank you. I actually just emailed my nurse to see if I could get my beta bumped to Wednesday. We live 30 minutes from my clinic so it would be nice not to have to drive there on Christmas Eve.

I assume they'll keep me the same, but I'm thinking about waiting 80 days to do DH's TESE again. I hear that new sperm is made every 80 days, so I'd like him to totally cut out alcohol and cigs, in hopes that his sperm might be better this time.

Assisted hatching is definitely something I want to talk to him about. Seems like alot of girls on SAIF got BFPs on the cycle they did AH.

You know...I've been thinking about that too. I've heard that acupuncture can help people quit smoking. It's definitely worth a try!

I also heard about it improving sperm count. I'm not sure about for azoo but it's worth asking/researching a bit.
