Terrified about tomorrow...

this is crazy - I have had a c-section before but I was all doped up and had been in labor for 36 hours prior - so it barely registered even though I was awake.

I am terrified for this surgery tomorrow. Getting the spinal (owww...), the catheter (before or aftert he spinal?), will my b/p be stable and will my heart be okay through the process? Worried about blood clots after surgery...

Think I am worried enough?? LOL

Just random worries - and just want it to be over. 7am, here I come. Probably very little sleep tonight.

    Good luck tomorrow!  Don't worry about the process... just keep picturing the end result and finally being able to see those sweet little babies : )

    It will be okay!  The spinal is not fun but really it only last a very brief moment, then you won't feel anything.  They gave me the catheter after I had the spinal and honestly when they took it out after I had feeling back it was nothing.

    I will say, if I made it to my scheduled date I would have been feeling the same way.  Since I had an emergency section I didn't have the time to let it sink in. Try to enjoy your last night pregnant with your babies. I wish I had known before I went in otherwise I would have.  You'll be okay and good luck!

    Oh, the anticipation must be so hard.  Your worries are totally normal (I would be worried about the same things), but you will be fine!  Just concentrate on meeting your little ones!!!  Best of luck to you tomorrow!!!  You'll be in my thoughts.

    the spinal doesn't hurt- really- i have had quite a few of them (for my c/s and other procedures for kidney stones)... it's a little pinch.

    my nurses/docs did the catheter after the spinal - which was something i was worried about, too - i asked my doc about it weeks before even --- you can request it be done after the spinal.

    Yeah- having a planned c/s is a little strange - so weird to just walk in and be like "OK- cut me open"... I think in emergency situations it's easier on your mind... but just remember that it's better for your body that this isn't an emergency - you'll do fine.... and see your babies very soon!

    It will be ok! You've made it this far and tomorrow you will be holding your bundles of joy!

    PS Just remember when it's May and I'm on here with my terrified post- say the same thing! ;)

    I think those are all very normal feelings, but I'm very excited for you to get to meet your babies!
