We did. My whole family is a total chocolate family, so I thought it was fitting. She smashed it, but didn't really eat any of it.

yes, but we choose it because it was able to be made dairy and egg free, so we picked chocolate crazy cake.. he loved it!

I did a small two layer smash cake and it was half white half chocolate. She didn't really eat the cake, but liked the frosting.

Carson Henry, born 39w, 2d, via emergency c/s due to no fetal movement and fetal distress. Seizures, IVH grade 2, brain injury, kidney and liver damage. Complete blood clot in the artery in his right arm. 27 days in the NICU. Now discharged from all specialists, excepts his kidney doctor, who will monitor him indefinitely. My tough little cookie.

we did for his 1 year old pictures because i thought it would stand out better than vanilla. he didn't really eat any cake, just mushed around in it.

The white frosting at his party wasn't messy enough, so made chocolate for his actual birthday.
