Those that have pre-e w/ protein in their, did the amount of protein ever decrease or did it only increase? I was told I have pre-e but my protein in my urine decreased. Is that possible having pre-e? I'm suuposed to be getting induced on Tuesday. I wonder if I still will.
Re: Pre-e ? Protein in urine ?
I know this doesn't answer your question, but I have mild preeclampsia, and I am having another 24-hour urine thing tomorrow or Tuesday, so I should know after that. Hoping they will induce me!
Did you ask to be induced or did they recommend it due to your BP? I am going to talk to my midwife tomorrow and find out what the plan is.
The amount of prot. in my urine varies all the time. I've had some high readings this time, and some great readings. my highest so far has been 597. My OB just keeps having me repeat the 24 hour urine. If I have a couple in a row that are high coupled with poor blood work then I will go to L&D for monitoring and another 24 hour urine.
They recommended it because my BP was so high and the protein in my urine. I'm 37 weeks today also. Pre-e isn't something they normally mess w/. I just hope they are still going to induce me. I hate bed rest.
Oh I thought it would just remain high. My first one was 440. This one was not a lot. Almost normal. I hope they still induce me. I can't take bed rest anymore!
I've wondered the same thing!
Mine has been pretty clean since my 24 hour urine test during week 34, and my BP has been good, etc. I'm still "diagnosed" with pre-e, though, and they'll probably still induce me because they really don't mess around with pre-e.
I had it with #1 and I am borderline this time. With #1, at 27 weeks...it was around 600 and some and when I was induced at 36 weeks, it was only 387. But my bloodwork was horrific and my bp had gone up like crazy again. I was on bedrest for 9.5 weeks with her.
This time, it has been at 284 and then a week later, it was only 208. So yes, it can fluctuate all the time.
Not necessarily. My OB was going to induce, but my BP and protein both went down yesterday when I was in L & D. With all the recent research about late term preemies and issues with delivering early, most docs will have you wait unless they believe there's a risk to mom and baby. Obviously, I don't know OP's numbers, but if they come down they may well change plans.
