I will be 39w5d and we're spending Christmas Eve night at my Mom and Dad's - they're as far away from the hospital as we are. Usually on Christmas Day we would go to my SIL's house, but it's an hour and a half away from the hospital. And I really don't want to sit in a car that long even if I am not in labor!

We always go have Christmas with my dad's parents and sister the week after because they live a couple hours away. I'll be 36 weeks and my OB said it's not a good idea. He was more concerned if I were to go into labor that they wouldn't stop it and I refuse to have my baby out in the little hick town that my relatives live in so in that case I could have a baby on the freeway. So...we aren't going to go this year.
DH and I are still deciding if we'll be traveling or not. I'll be 35 weeks on Christmas Eve. My family lives 200 miles away (usually about 3.5 to 4 hours, with no traffic). I've had a ton of BH lately, which has made my OB and the nurses at the childbirth center a little nervous. I think it'll probably be a last minute decision.
We had hoped to drive to my family in upstate NY (about 5 hour drive) when I would be 36 weeks, but at last week's OB appointment they gave me the no-go. OB thinks I'm likely to go early (ha, we'll see) and really didn't think we should travel that far. It's going to be a quiet Christmas, and I anticipate doing a lot of crying! At 27, this is somehow my first Christmas not with my family.
Everyone is coming to my house this year. I told them all I don't feel comfortable driving that far (at least an hour) from my hospital b/c I will be 35/36 weeks along. And now I'm glad I said that, b/c my OB is worried that this baby is going to come early b/c of his position at my last appointment. I don't want to be far from the hospital anymore. If I weren't pregnant this Christmas I would travel to one of their houses (1-3 hours away) or fly home to my parents house.
I'll be 36 weeks on Christmas. Our families are an 8 hour drive or plain ride away so we'll be staying home this year. My family is going to drive down to see us for a few days after Christmas, so we'll have that to look forward to. I'm kind of looking forward to a quiet Christmas just the two of us.
this... except we'll be going 2/1/2 hours... Ob didn't seem worried said it's day to day at this point and keep my set of paper work with us in case we need it. We are also putting in the car seat...because you never know!
We have an ultra sound Wednesday, unless things have really changed down there... we'll keep our plans to travel down for the night to be with my young brother and sister on xmas morning .
I will be 32 weeks and were traveling up to Northern Virginia from South Carolina via car. My doc said everything is fine to travel just that we stop every 2 hours to stretch my legs that sort of thing. Honestly I'm more worried about the weather then my pregnancy!
I will be 35.5 wks. We are going about 1 hour away for Christmas eve, and about twenty minutes away on Christmas day. We go every other year to my aunt's 3 hours away, and luckily it's the off year so we didn't really have to change our plans.
I'll be 36 weeks on Christmas. Doc told me I shouldn't travel any later than this past friday. We're not traveling at all and yes our plans changed. We usually drive the 24 hours back home to Minnesota to see our families, but won't be doing that this year.
I will be 34 weeks exactly. We aren't traveling, but we never do. We did stay home for Thanksgiving and went to the ILs in September. Based on my last two PG, my CNM prefers that I not travel in the third trimester anyway. Either way, my family was all coming here for Christmas so that was set anyway. Now Mom is coming earlier (tomorrow instead of Wednesday night) to help with the girls b/c I'm on modified bedrest.
I'll be 37 weeks & traveling about 4 hrs. DH says I'm crazy but I've had no contractions, no progress & I have an appt the day before we leave so unless something has changed, I don't see the point of missing out. We'll only be gone 2 days.
