f/u to morning sick posts

Hey girls,

Just wanted to say thanks for all of your advice on m/s, pumps, pills, insurance, etc...

My nurse is working with my insurance company to have them give me more than 12 zofran pills at once...BUT she did prescribe me the pill Phenergan (sp?) and it has worked wonders so far.  It's cheaper for me to get instead of Zofran as well.   Apparently it causes fatigue, but it hasn't made me sleepy.  I have been on it for about 48 hours now and havent puked and have also been able to EAT. 

 Anyways, just wanted to say thanks!!!!

    I'm glad something is working for you!

    I don't remember if I replied to your original post or not. Another med that worked better for me than either zofran or phenergan was reglan, and it's also pretty cheap. (I wound up on a reglan pump once I got to the point where I couldn't swallow pills anymore. I'm glad I was on a reglan pump vs. a zofran pump because zofran causes a lot of tissue irritation, and reglan isn't as irritating. Although obviously whatever works the best is the better choice.) ;)

    Phenergan also comes in suppositories, which is nice...the tablets tended to stick in my throat and make me gag and vomit. Fun!

    I had to take both Zofran and Phenergan and the Phen made me soo tired.  I threw up in my sleep (woke up choking) on the phen. That was about my 12w point and I'd lost 35lbs so I went to the hospital and came home two weeks later with a PICC :(
