Crawling: He's close...he's up on all 4's and rocks, but not yet. (This usually happens around 8-10 months, can happen a little earlier or a later...some never crawl...not considered a milestone for this very reason).
Sitting up where I felt comfortable leaving him there without my arm close by to catch him - within the last week or two. Not that I'd do it on a hard surface yet, but on carpet or the couch (with pillows to keep him from rolling/falling and me rightthere.)
No crawling, but he's definitely wanting to. He's stretching and trying to grab and pull himself. I foresee army crawling within a couple weeks, but who really knows, it may take months or he may be up and mobile tomorrow (scary thought!)

Re: sitting up and crawling?
Sitting independently for more then 10 seconds at 5 1/2 mo, not even close to crawling
Probably aren't going to find too many babies doing either of these things on 3-6
Sitting Unassisted: 5 months
