My Peri was fine with me working from home but my company's HR department didn't want me to stress about work while on bed rest, so they told me to just focus on keeping the babies and myself healthy.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I did work from home but I found it really hard to be comfortable. I had a short cervix so I had to be flat as much as possible...it made it hard to type on my laptop.
However, I am glad that I did work because taking that much time off would have been difficult for me.

I did not work from home. I didn't want the stress or distraction.
Look into your benefits. I ended up using up all my FMLA once I was on bed rest since I went at 20 weeks. Which of course leaves nothing for maternity leave. Talk to your HR department and see what options you have.

I'm extremely lucky in that the owner of my company is a family member (the only one who knows about our IVF or our pregnancy), so I know I'll be able to take as much time as I need/want without push back from an employer. I've already told her that I'm definitely not working until 38 wks (as most of our PG employees have chosen to), and there is a good chance I'll be on bedrest or told to stop working long before that. She's fine with it, and financially we can take that hit, too.
I wasn't sure if Drs would advise against this (I suppose it depends on individual circumstances), but it sounds like people have made it work at least long enough to transition work to someone else when the bedrest is sudden.
I'm not able to perform my job from home, so I'm done working until I come back from maternity leave.
I'm only part time, so I'm not eligible for FMLA. I'm using my short term disability instead, and that will cover me for bedrest and recover from delivery. The rest of the time (anything beyond the 6 weeks for vaginal or 8 weeks for c/s) will be unpaid leave.

My employer has been supportive, thank God.
