You know what's sad about Saturday mornings for our LO's?

The selection of Satruday morning cartoons really STINKS!  I mean they are almost non-existent on most of the "regular" channels.  When I was little I would get up and look forward to Muppet Babies, Gummy Bears, Gem, Smurfs, Punky Brewster, etc. I loved it and Saturday mornings were just so much fun.

Don't get me wrong I don't plan on sitting Madelyn in front of the TV all of the time, but you get what I mean... What were some of your favorite Saturday morning cartoons?

    I loved when I could get up and watch Rainbow Brite. I also really liked Scooby-Doo, Space Ghost, and the Snorks. I wasn't a huge fan of Muppet Babies, but only because I watched the Muppet Show alllll the time. And Uncle Al. Do you remember Uncle Al, Cara? I might be dating myself here, lol.

    My mom and sister were actually on the Uncle Al show when they were little!!!  They are very proud of that fact!

    I love Muppet Babies!

    We were just talking about this the other day with a friend. I miss the good ol' Winnie the Pooh and Animaniacs.

    I was on it too-I think I was 4. I sort of remember it. And I have pictures.

    This post makes me so nostalgic!  I LOVED Muppet Babies and Gem and Snorks and Punky Brewser (went through a phase where I wanted my dad to call me Punky)!  We didn't watch a whole lot of TV during the week, so Saturday morning was a BIG DEAL.

    I wonder if you could get some of those on DVD.  For me, not for the LO's!

    If you mean as a young child, under 5, I enjoyed watching Sesame Street, Electric Company, Fat Albert, Scooby Doo, Land of the Lost, The Jetsons, Magila Gorilla, Mr Rogers Neighborhood.  Guess this shows my age :)

    Cartoons were so much better when we were kids! They've gotten lame. Loved Muppet Babies.  I watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a While. Gummy Bears was great, I can still sing the song!

    This is no joke. It really makes me sad. Cartoons suck nowdays.

    For some reason, I've never liked cartoons, but I did tend to watch My Little Pony and Smurfs if i did!

    We were just talking about that at work this week.  Kids cartoons these days suck. 
    From miscarriages, a diagnosis of a bicornuate uterus, and fibroid removal surgery...It's been quite the journey but it was all well worth it. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    Muppet Babies, Smurfs, and I think there was a Dungeons and Dragons cartoon that was pretty good, too. Muppet Babies was my favorite, though.
