Pennsylvania Babies

Update

i had another u/s and appointment this morning. While baby and cord and placenta look good and healthy, the fluid is really getting low. AND, since I'm full term, I"m not he schedule now for L&D on Monday 12/21 at 10 pm. Currently I'm now 80% effaced and she can stretch me to 2 centimeters dilated. Hopefully by the time Monday rolls around I won't need much if any help and will be almost ready to push when I get there.

Now, trying to figure out how to get my mom from the airport is another story. Her flight gets in about 45 minutes after I'm to be at the hospital and there is now way I'm letting Dh go anywhere once we are there. After all, you never know how quickly things will progress. The service we were going to use will only get her to the hospital, but not our house and she is to be caring for our dogs while we are at the hospital.Huh?

Re: Update

  • you'll soon have your little baby in your arms! Maybe I am missing something but can't you use the service to get your mom to the hospital from the airport and then she can take your car and go to your house to be with the dogs. She can then drive back with the car whenever you need her back at the hospital.

  • Oh wow...good luck with everything.  It will be a little while once you check into the hospital for them to get things going.  I'm sure your mom will get there in plenty of time.  Let us know how it goes.  Enjoy your last weekend before you are a mom!!!
  • GL! Enjoy your last weekend - sleep, sleep, sleep ... and do anything else relaxing. Get a nice pedicure! :)

I'm probably missing some details here, but I take it you're being induced? GL - I ended up having a good experience. Hopefully I'll udpate sometime this weekend.

LOL, no way, no how is my mother driving down here. First, she doesn't have a clue where she is and it's major highways going 70+ miles an hour. She even avoids rt 30 in Lancaster. Plus being almost midnight by the time she gets here......Indifferent...yeah, not an option. She is also 70 years oldEmbarrassed

We will end up using the one shuttle service to get her from the airport to the hospital it just stink they don't "service", the next small town that we live in about 30 miles past where the hospital is.
