The argument for the existence of santa:

Because nobody's parents can afford all those gifts...

Overheard at the assembly I was leading this morning for PreK through 6th grade on respect, we made a school wide paper chain, somebody puked and the sound system was out.

2 weeks of rest here I come!

  • Are you an elementary school counselor?  If so, that's my profession too! :)

I'm so sorry about the puke and sound system, but enjoy your well-deserved rest!!!

  • I am the 5th and 6th grade math and science teacher.  We have character assemblies ever monday and friday on a rotating basis.  We made potato pancakes today and had our fill of sugar and goodness.  We don't have a counselor but I sure do feel like that is my job too.  I hope you enjoy your break too!

Very cool -- I always wanted teacher buy-in with character ed!  I stay home with DD now but I miss it.  You're totally right -- no doubt teachers do plenty in the counseling realm.  I wish you the very, very best!!! :)
