38 week appt today...

I asked her to strip my membranes, she agreed to do it if I was ripe and then before she started told me that there is a good chance it will do nothing.

Then she started, she told me she has magic fingers.... got me to 3cm! So now I am 3cm, 80% and -1. She then told me what I need to do today as far as labor (even what foods to eat) and seemed pretty optimistic about the membrane stripping working.

I'm not too optimistic, it seems too easy that the baby would be coming today. I did also talk to her about induction since my family lives so far away and I'm worried about having people here to watch Connor. She agreed that once I hit 40 weeks, they can induce me. This way I can make sure my parents are here since they have off that week of work (between christmas and new years)

So I either have a few more hours or at most 2 weeks until I finally meet the new addition

Wow, that's great news! I wouldn't be surprised if you go into labor today or tomorrow. I swear stripping membranes works wonders, especially for a second baby!
