I am looking at the sheet from my doctor right now and for heartburn it lists: Mylanta, tums, maalox, zantac, or pepcid.
I am also looking at my Great Expectations book and it says: Pepcid (famotidine) FDA risk class B, drug class: antihistamine, crosses placenta -yes, use in pregnancy: probably safe, data needed.
My doctor told me pepcid and zantac 75 are ?completely safe.....thank god. Also eat very small meals. I am learning the hard way if I eat a lot in one sitting I am in TROuBLE
Re: Is Pepcid okay to take?
I'm at work and they don't know I am pregnant. I was planning on calling when I get a break, but thought I would check here first.
