The post below got me thinking. We "think" our twin girls are fraternal but realize the only way to be sure is through DNA testing. If you had DNA testing did your insurance cover it? If not how much, does it cost? TIA
Our OB and MFM say they are most likely fraternal (separate placentas & thick membrane wall btwn sacs). Since they are both girls verses boy & girl, the only true 100% way to find out is through DNA testing which we could do after they are born. If their blood type is different, then no DNA testing needed.

If they have different blood types, then they are definitely fraternal. They might look a lot different too.
No, our insurance didn't cover the testing. We used Affiliated Genetics and I think it cost about $150 or so.
