Is this a normal thing?

Amelia likes to pretend that she's falling over and catch herself.  Sometimes she lets herself fall onto the sofa, a pillow or the floor.  I guess I thought this was a boy thing, do all toddlers do it? It's weird and she thinks it's the funniest thing ever.

    I don't know if physical comedy is a girl or boy thing - Lucille Ball did a great job at it. They are the best, aren't they? Slithering around like snakes, taking prat falls, doing yoga instead of napping...all good toddler fun.

    My 5 year old still does this.  Mom watch!  Is this funny?!  Falls over.  Uh, sure honey!  Hilarious!  Meanwhile, she's laughing hysterically.  This usually goes on until she hits her head on the coffee table and cries, then the game is over until a few days later when she forgets.

    ditto!  I could totally see my H doing the same, I haven't but I wouldn't put it past him.  

    My big boy is bounding towards 4! Baby brother coming in October!

    maddy does this too!  and then when she's done "falling", she'll say "i'm ok!"

    I think it's very common, especially in toddlers that like to make others laugh.
