Babies: 0 - 3 Months

You know you're sleep deprived when...

You wake up at 4:00 am with a baby in your arms and have no idea how they got there!

It seriously scared the crap out of me! I do not remember getting up and getting her out of her swing. I just woke up and she was sleeping on my chest.

FI is going to have to get up with her this weekend, because I seriously need to catch up on some sleep!

Luckily DH is off work for the holidays so he's helping me play a little bit of catch-up!

  • Yikes!  That's when I realized that co-sleeping was NOT for us...I woke up with DS in my arms and went "WTF, what are you doing here?"

  • I remember waking up in my own bed and being confused as to how I got there, I would remember getting up and taking care of LO, but I wouldn't remember putting him back in his crib and coming to bed.

I also would wake up a lot and look at the clock and completely forget when the last time I fed LO was and it would take serious effort to remember that I actually DID wake up and feed him.

I do this a lot too. I sit there and think, "Shiit, when did I feed her last?"

This is me all the time! Glad to know I'm not alone.

This is why I keep a notebook to keep track of everything - feedings, pumpings, poops, when I took my PNV, when she had her VitD...otherwise I wouldn't never remember anything. It sounds silly but it works for me.

I have the Total Baby app for the iTouch, so I can track all that, but I don't use it at night lol. Guess I should start bringing it upstairs with me before bed.
