Me again...
So pedi also recommended rice cereal for my LO. Of course I was too tired to ask all the question I should have. Hope you guys can help- what brand/type of rice cereal do you recommend (for infants)?
DH bough Gerber with DHA last night but it has nothing saying it's for infants. Pardon my ignorance, but is there one just for newborns?
Thanks again

Re: Rice Cereal-Which one do you recommend for infant
Very bad case of acid reflux. I really don't want to giver her any. We just got some last night and I didn't give her any. Didn't want to take a chance at night. But...the pedi said it would help her with the reflux.
I want my LO to be comfortable but I really don't want to give her this.
What to do?
Anyway, I thought maybe that was a particular brand/type gentle enough for newborn's little tummys
I see. I think rice cereal for medical reasons is fine (not that my opinion matters really). I've read some posts where people want to try it so their LO will STTN and I give that the side eye.
I would think all brands should be pretty gentle. I think getting the extra DHA is good. Maybe just start out giving a tiny bit and see what it does.
I had a friend whose pedi told them to start using it at 2 months for the same reason. The pedi told them it was worth the risk of developing food allergies since the baby was not gaining and vomiting everything he ate. He also said they started using gripe water around the same time and they thought that helped. Good luck. I know they were worried too but their LO is just fine now and almost 2 years old.
My pedi said it was not good to use it just to try to get babies to STTN but I guess sometimes there are good reasons that they rec it.
