I went to Shaws to get some last minute deals before the sales switch tomorrow morning. They were out of Progresso bread crumbs so I got in the customer service line to get a rain check. Meanwhile, a fellow couponer was at the register and I got to see her in action! She had a *million* coupons and spent $9 and got 36 Progresso soups, at least 7 Progresso Bread Crumbs, about 5 packages of cat treats and one more bag of things that I couildn't make out.
I'm sure a lot of you are that good too but it was the first time I'd seen anyone in action. It was cool to watch and I had so many quesitons for her...specifically because Shaws is the store that always gives me a hard time about my coupons. I wondered if she had a friendly cashier that she could introduce me too ![]()
Re: Saw my idol tonight...
I feel the same way- I don't feel like I save enough from the Sunday paper coupons to even pay for the subscription- where do these magical coupons come from? I'm so fascinated by this!
Wow, that's great... I'd love to see a fellow couponer in action. I've never even seen anyone use a coupon. Seriously.
As far as where they come from - a lot of the best ones come from online so you do have to print them. I can guarantee you, you'll make back the money you spend on ink, though. Or invest in a laser printer (We have a black and white one) and you'll hardly ever have to change the toner.
I always love seeing others in action too =D
First, your baby is adorable! What a picture
The woman last night had multiple coupons from the paper. I, for instance, take my father's, aunt's and grandmother's coupon inserts and add them to my own. For instance, if I have a $1/2 Cheerios, I'll actually have a total of four. I will then by 8 boxes of cereal and get $4 off. The other trick is to only buy when things are on sale. Clip your coupons and wait a couple weeks to check to see if your store has any of the items on sale. Rite Aid and Walgreens are also worth watching for sales.
