It will be for our living room so i don't really want something childish or pink. I was thinking about just trying to find a big chest andhave looked at TJ Maxx and Ross but no luck. Any suggestions?
We are planning on getting a leather upholstered ottoman/chest. I've seen a couple I like at HomeGoods, just waiting for the funds and to get DH to agree on one we both like

we recently bought a big ottoman for this reason .... we use the storage inside as their toy box .... LR still looks good, minus the abc mat on the floor
Maybe you have a handy guy you know who could make one? DH's uncle is making us this really nice stained wood one. I think they're fairly easy for someone who works with wood.
Leather ottoman. I want to get DD a more traditional toy box for her room after I get rid of the changing table, but right now I'm using a basket on the changing table and a small laundry basket in there.
I just got a trunk from Ross for $50, but before that we used a dark brown wicker basket with a linen liner. Our Livingroom is brown so it matched good but was still easy for DD to get into. It sure made clean up fast too, just toss everything inside.
For our living room I bought a small antique sideboard from an estate sale and I keep DD's toys inside and the TV on top. I also have large baskets that I found at places like Hobby Lobby and Marshall's in our bedroom, DD's bedroom and the basment that are jammed full of toys. Nice thing about the baskets is that she can just crawl over to them and pick out the toy that she wants.
Re: DD needs a toy box. What do you use?
This is our living room toy box.

Sorry it's not clicky; I'm using Safari at the moment.
We have a nice size whicker basket.

We'll probably get something like this. It can hide his crap, but still look stylish in our home.
