2nd Trimester

What's the earliest you felt movement?

I know I've got a ways before I feel something since I just joined 2nd trimester today, but I'm so anxious to feel the baby move and was wondering when did everyone else first feel it?

  • I felt a flutter at about 14 weeks and a roll/flip at about 15 weeks. It's continued on the roll pattern for the past few days - waiting for a good swift kick though!
  • I felt the baby at 16 weeks.

  • flutters at 15 weeks and noticeable movement at 18 weeks.  Not much longer and you'll be feeling something!
  • I was about 14 weeks when I first felt flutters.
  • First movement at 15 weeks two swift kicks then daily from 17 weeks on.

  • Flutters/rolls at 13 weeks but way inconsistent.  This week, 17wks, is way more active than ever.....baby either was jumping on my bladder or had the hiccups earlier today.  This is #2 though.

  • Flutters at 12 1/2 weeks, stronger roll-like movements the last week or so.  This is number 3 for me.
  • 14 wks flutters and pokes, 16 wks full out wind up punches. today I think LO did a somersault and moved to the other side. (when I looked down at my belly yesterday the right was bigger, today the left lol) just make yourself comfy kid ;)

  • No flutters, pokes, etc. Just taps at 21 weeks. It's started to get stronger though.

I have an anterior placenta so I started feeling movement later than some ladies.

  • Ditto on the anterior placenta. I still haven't feel the baby move. But, I know she is in there!

  • I felt flutters around 15 weeks but at the time (this being my first), I thought it was the baby but wasn't 100% sure.  Around 16 weeks I became more certain it was the baby, then 17 weeks I knew for sure as it was happening all the time - multiple times an hour.  My husband felt the baby for the first time at 19 weeks and saw the baby move (looks like your skin is crawling) at 19.5 weeks.  Now, the baby moves on about a 2 hour schedule (sleeps for 2 hours, will move for 10 minutes, sleeps another 2 hours, then moves) and at certain hours of the day.
  • The first movement I felt was kicks at 17 weeks, 5 days.

You're in for a couple of boring weeks. Enjoy the energy!

  • I'm 16 weeks today, and felt my first movement last night.  It was this weird, very strong vibration in my lower abdomen.  Crazy stuff!

  • 13w2d with my son.  i was at the dr's and she had the dopplar on my belly.  you could hear the kicks and she asked if i could feel it.  with the second kick i realized i could!  a kick!  not flutters, bubbles or any of that, a kick.  it blew my mind i could feel it that early.  what's funny is she started off the appt by asking if i'd felt movement because some women feel movement this early.  i'm thinking, "you're crazy lady."  but lo and behold, i felt something.

i felt the slightest little flutters this time at 13w6d.
