  • Yes.  She's about 30 lbs.  I keep forgetting to ask my Dr. but for the time being, I do not plan on stopping.

  • Yup, my DS is 2.5 years old and I pick him up now and again.  He weighs around 32 lbs.  But I am always careful to bend with my knees and be careful.  Doctor just said to be careful.
  • yes, one daughter is about 35 pounds the other around 20. ?I never asked doctor but I don't think its an issue
  • My LO is 18 months and she weighs a whopping 21 lbs and does not seem to want to get any heavier. I do not plan stop picking her up. She'd be heartbroken and so would I. If the doctor says something later on, I'm not sure what I'll do.
  • Yes, he is only 1 so that measn I pick him up a lot throughout the day.? In and out of crib, high chair, carseat, etc....

    He weighs 26 lbs

Yeah, my body is used to holding him all the time.

  • Yes.  She's 32 lbs, and I pick her up all the time.

Doc gave me a lifting limit of 50 lbs.  He's always said that as long as I was doing it before, I can keep doing it.  Since I'm used to lifting her, it's no big deal.

  • Yes, DS weighs 35 lbs.  I still lift weights over that amount at the gym I'm just very careful.  I'm more worried about tripping and falling over the toys, dogs, and clutter in our house than lifting.  Doctor didn't give me a weight limit.
  • Yep all the time, he weighs around 26lbs.  Doc was fine with it since I had been doing prepregnancy.  He just said my body will let me know if it becomes too much.
  • DD is about 30lbs.  I don't pick her up, but I will hold her or carry her as long as my fiance picks her up and hands her to me.  I haven't asked my Dr about it, but I've stopped picking her up myself because of extreme back pain I've been experiencing.
  • I still pick up DD once in awhile.  She's 5 and over 50 lbs now so she's definitely pushing my limit.  She's learned that she can't jump on me for a piggyback or anything anymore and that I won't pick her up just because her "legs are iggly".  But if she's hurt or needs help up on something, I'll still lift her.
  • yes, he's 25-26 pounds.  My doctor hasn't said anything and I haven't asked.

  • She's 5 so I don't pink her up, but I will hold her on my lap.  My Dr. said that 25-30 pounds is ok, and she is well over 50...lol.

  • yes

    25lbs

havent asked but she saw me holding her at my 1st appt & didnt say anythign?

  • Yes, DS is 28 lbs.  He goes to the daycare at my work.  So, I carry him through the hallways to get to the daycare.  I just recently stopped carrying him up and down a few flights of stairs in the parking ramp, because I was getting winded.

I think if your body is used to it, it's not a big deal.  I think of it as my workout.

  • Yes, but DD is only 20 lbs.  The doctor didn't say anything, and she was at my last appointment with me.

  • yes, she's about..26lbs. And doc doesn't advise me not to...my military profile says no lifting more than 20lbs after 20wks....but...it doens't bother me lifting her so I'll continue to do it until I'm uncomfortable.
  • Yup -  he's 25ish pounds.

Never asked my doc if he's ok with it - it hasn't been an issue for me so far. I expect I'll be picking him up until the day I deliver this one.

  • yes.  all the time.

she weighs about 24 lbs (she's almost 2.5 yrs)

yes.  she's fine with it.  she knows i lift weights at the gym 4 days a week too and she's fine with that.

  • yup. he's 29 lbs. Ill talk to my OB about it next week. He will probably say its fine, at least until the end.
  • Yep and DS1 weighs about 26-27lbs.  My OB is fine with it.  I help turn and reposition patients in bed at work though, so DS is very light compared.
