I made a big mistake and .. (NGPR)

hopefully I will not be fired.. I am going to fess up to my boss later on today.. but  am so afraid of being let go.. it really was my fault.. but I wont be able to live with myself if I try to cover it up.. can you guys say some prayers real quick please! thanks..

    Oh, I am so sorry!  Telling the truth is probably the best thing.  I supervise several people and when they fess up to mistakes I have so much more respect for them.  GL!

    this happened to me over the summer, I left out material and labor and underbid a job by about 3000-4000.  I tried for days to figure out how to cover it up and couldn't sleep, in the end I just said I was sorry, I screwed up, and confessed.  I thought for sure I would get fired but he was pretty cool about it and everything worked out.  Hopefully everything will work out for you too, I will say a prayer for you!!!

    Fingers crossed for you and you are doing the right thing

    I have had people cover things up before and others come clean, things ended better for those that were honest and up-front, everyone makes mistakes, even Big ones!

    Is the first time you goofed?  Definitely better to admit it than to try to cover it up or blame it on someone else.   Hope it all works out!

    I think people in management have much more respect for employees who can admit fault and take responsibility, than for those who deny, try to cover it up or just sit back and wait to reap the repercussions when/if the mistake is uncovered.  Good luck, I said a prayer!!
