  I just started getting them the other day due to dehydration.  They just feel like your belly gets super-tight and hard.  It even changes shape.  You feel quite a bit of pressure, especially in your lower abdomen, but not necessarily any pain - it's weird.  Then, in my case, baby started beating the crap outta me... I imagined her getting all kinds of claustrophobic going "hey! what's going on in here!"

  For me they feel like my belly tightening, it also kind of feels like my heart rate is changing, but it's not.  It's not painful at all.  When I reach down to touch my belly, it is hard, and then it relaxes again.  Sometimes I get them only on one side or the other.

  Mine feel almost like I have a rock in my belly. There is a tightening and almost a squishing feeling with my other organs.
