When do you start Baby Registry?

How far a long are you suppose to be to start a baby registry? We are Team Green, so I know it will be a little difficult but just curious when others are starting?

I am team green also and I registered after my 20 week U/S. I took a friend who has 3 kids with me and it was the best thing I did! She was so helpful...DH and I would've been wandering around the store all night! I highly recommend taking someone who has kids and that you trust!

we went at 18 weeks, and people freaked out about it saying it was too early, but we thought it was great because we know so little about everything. We are still working on the registry, and we are OK with that. Don't worry about what's normal/suggested. It was A LOT of fun to do that with my hubby. I am glad we went 'so early'.

We did ours the other weekend, the family has been bugging to get it done before the holidays. one of my showers is 2-20 so if your going to wait you need to have it done at least a month to two months before your shower.

We're starting ours on Sunday (at 21w). One of my mommy friends is taking me to Target and guiding me on what items I really need vs are "nice to haves."

We are going to start ours after the holidays. I am taking a friend with me who has had kids recently to help also. My DH said he would have no clue what to register for.

I don't think there's a 'rule'. However, I know a lot of people have said that stores redo their inventory in Jan., after the holidays, so if you haven't started you might want to wait until then. I view registries as ever-changing, personally.
