For those of you who are wondering what to expect from your 20 week u/s....or those of you who just like reading about them!.....
Well we already knew it was a boy from the 16 week u/s...but it was still amazing! We were able to see so much this time! The u/s lasted almost a full 1.5 hours! Both DH and my mom were able to come, which was very special since my mom had never seen a live ultrasound. Baby boy was very sleepy so the tech had to keep jabbing my ute and kept digging in really hard...OUCH! The tech took about a million pics of the heart, brain and "guts" before she passed it on to an intern who let us get some "cute" shots of the arms, legs and face We saw lo opening and closing his mouth and waving his little arms and legs. The best part was seeing him stick his thumb in his mouth! The "main" tech was kinda rude and refused to answer any questions. She just told us that the Dr. would review the pics and talk to us at our next appointment. Luckily the intern was really sweet and very talkative which was nice. The intern kept saying "oh look he is sucking his thumb! How cute is that!" It was great to have a tech with some personality! We got to take home about 10 pics of the face, arms, legs and penis!
Anyway, overall it was an amazing experience and I hope all of you enjoy your "big u/s" too!

when you find out at your 20wk u/s do they do it internal or external? Just wondering, cause when you have an external don't u have to have a full bladder? and with it lasting and hour and a half umm i couldn't lay ther long enough before i had to pee really bad haha
Usually, once you hit 20w, a lot of docs don't make you come in with a full bladder b/c your uterus is big enough to see everything that they need too. My doc told me there was no need to drink water before my 18w u/s.

I had mine yesterday too (it was awesome, and I'm on team blue with you
)
Mine took about 30 minutes, it started out external, then they wound up doing an internal one too b/c they wanted to make sure the placenta wasn't too close to the cervix. So an internal u/s isn't standard at 20 weeks, but it's possible.
