I only fly southwest, so it had better be a place they go. No one else even compares to their prices (in my experience)

I had an interesting time using expedia.com to find hotel and car reservations for family who traveled for the wedding- worth checking to see what airfare rates they come up with.

Check the actual airline websites. At this point, they are usually cheaper...especially if you call and try to talk them down.

I use orbitz to sort and find the cheapest flights, then buy them directly from the airline. I fly alot and find the websites don't offer cheaper flights than the airlines themselves. It's nice to buy directly from the airlines b/c it makes dealing with problems easier.

My friend booked using one of the cheap airline sites (can't remember which) and they switched the day she was flying out. When she called to complain they told her that it's in the fine print you agree to when you purchase the ticket. Not sure if anyone else has had that problem, but something to be aware of.

Do you know if this because of the website or her fare class? If you buy the super cheap tickets, the rules are sometimes different. They often won't assign you seats, and you can get bumped if the flight is over-booked.
