I didn't want to hijack the thankful post talking about my dog, but thanks for asking. We are doing better. I miss her and probably always will, but it's getting a little easier every day. And I have received a few sympathy cards in the mail, which is awesome. I didn't even know they made pet sympathy cards! And I am so sorry to hear about DH's dog! Is he going to be ok?
Re: ::Mrs. Weber::
Today is make or break... She's 14 years old so she's definitely lived her life. She had a lot of weird symptoms... she was very dizzy and falling, she wasn't eating, and then she peed in the house a few times (which she never did.) First, the vet noticed she had an ear infection so he gave her antibiotics for that and she began to walk again and lose the dizziness. But then the vet also realized that she has a virus which isn't letting food stay down so thats why she's just not eating. The virus is shutting down her pancreas so the doctor is trying to give her this pill (which will cure the virus in 24 hours) but everytime she swallows it... it comes back up. If she can't keep the pill down today... the vet said there is nothing they can do. If you take her home and just wait it out... she'd suffer. His advice is to put her down if today doesn't work out. DH is almost ignoring what the doctor is saying... he just doesnt want to hear it. At this point, I agree with the vet. We don't want her to slowly pass away. It's heart wrenching.
I'm glad you're feeling a little bit better. It's ok to be sad... you're dog was adorable
Do you have any other dogs or was it just the one?
Thats true. Definitely wait til your ready. I'll def let u know how DH's dog turns out... I just got word that the pill has so far stayed down. It's been an hour.
Definitely keep me updated! My heart breaks for you guys, especially your DH. Hopefully his sweet pup isn't in any pain.
