NBR: It's a sad day....

Chis Henry of the Cincinnati Bengals died at 6:36 am, this morning, from injuries he received during a fall out of the bed of his fiance's pickup truck. Apparently, per the news article, they were having an arguement and he had jumped on the bed of the truck. She began to speed away and he fell off the back on Wednesday, dying from his injuries this morning.

I couldn't help but get a little choked up. T&P to his family.

  • wow I saw that he was on life support, but not that he died. That's horrible.

  • Wow, that is such a horrible story.  Thoughts and prayers to his family.
  • so sad, T&P to his family
  • Oh no!  Even if they were fighting I would feel so guilty.  T&P to everyone envolved.
  • Very sad. Sounds like he was really trying to get his life together too.
  • I'm a HUGE Bengals fan (even though I live in Minneapolis now) and was just at the game this past weekend (and yes I was proudly supporting my Bengals gear).  So incredibly sad.  He's only 26 years old and seemed like he was finally getting straightened out.

Apparently he was standing, and she started driving and he "fell" out, but that doesn't make any sense to me. I guess it would depend on the way that he fell if he had hit his head on concrete and how hard, but it seems like either the news isn't telling the whole truth (surprise!) or she isn't.

  • Yikes, that is sad!  I wonder how his fiancee feels about this.

  • I'm not too concerned about Chris Henry, but I just have to say this: I LOVE your chocolate lab!  He looks just like my choc lab who is sleeping on my feet right now!  Everytime I see your picture in your siggy I just stare at how cute your dog is lol!

Yea I'm sure she flung him off the truck.  I bet she was mad and KNEW he was standing up in the back of the truck, but floored it anyways and tossed him off.  But she definitely knew his huge, 240lb self was back there and she took off anyway.  Anyone could guess that flooring (or even just accelerating slightly) the truck while someone is standing up in the back would knock them off balance and likely send them over the side of the truck.

  • I heard about this today.  It's sad because he was so young (26) and leaves behind 3 small children.  It also sounded like he was trying to get his life together, which is admirable. T&P with his family, friends and teamates.
