LO not gaining enough weight :*(

I am so  stressed out right now.  DD weighed 6 lbs 6 oz at birth then dropped down to 5 lbs 10 oz two days after birth (she was jaundice) then at her two week appointment weighed 6 lbs 5 oz and then just yesterday I decided to have her weighed again cuz she wasn't looking like she was gaining weight and she only weighed 6 lbs 10oz.  I am so worried and stressed.  They have me supplementing with BM and Formula at night.  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I feel like I am starving my baby.  Anyone else going through this?

    I went through that.  I found that I wasn't producing enough milk...now at four weeks we are just on formula.  we go back monday for weight!!  he seems happy and heavier :)  hang in there.

    is your pedi concerned? my LO is a slow gainer but thats just him we have him weighed after a feeding and he is getting enough he just is slowly puttinf on weight we had a big loss in the beginning also..DS went from 7lbs 2 oz to 6lbs 4 oz at his week appt..and at his month he was onlt 7lbs 8oz...he is now 9lbs 13oz and growing fine..also I'm BF

    I went through something similar. My LO has never been a big eater and she was a very slow gainer in the beginning. If you are concerned about your supply, nurse, nurse, nurse and when you are done nursing, pump to help increase your supply. Does your LO seem satisfied after he eats? If so, then you don't have to supplement with formula. GL.

    DD was 6 lbs when born and her weight fluctuated. We had to have LC weigh ins twice a week.

    Hang in there! Supplementing will help. Don't get down on yourself :)

    I went through this as well.  LO took 3 weeks to get to back to her birth weight and I had to start supplementing with formula.  I'm still supplementing (only 8 oz/day) and BFing, and LO seems to be gaining slowly and steadily.  You might want to buy a baby scale - I did, and it really helps put my mind at ease to make sure she's continually gaining weight without having to go to the dr's to get her weighed each time I wonder.
