Grr! Almost 2 yo refusing to nap today...

She usually goes down so easy and doesn't fight at all.  I gave up after 2 hours of fighting - at least for now.  I heard, "No, mean Mommy!"  at least 3 times during that fight.  Sad

    Dont feel bad, no naps here either today!  Oh well! Early bed time :)

    I feel your pain today!  My 2 year old son is refusing naptime today...he fell asleep on the couch earlier than normal but when I tried to carry him to his bed he woke up screaming "not ready!".  After attempting for an hour to get him to sleep in his bed, I gave up.  He was apparently hungry, so he ate...and now I am trying to get him to unwind again!

    Oh I feel your pain!  I hate the days when DS refuses to nap.  On those days, he seriously will ask me to go to bed at 4pm!!!

    She ended up napping for AN HOUR at 3 pm.  Tongue Tied

    We decided a long time ago that if DD didn't get a nap, Mama goes crazy.  Seriously...that quiet time is probably as much for my sanity as for her sleep.  So, when 2pm rolls around, the timer goes off, we go potty, go turn the music on, and she gets in her bed  She can sing, play in her bed, sleep, whatever...but she does not get out of bed until she wakes up or has been in there for at least 1.5hrs.  It works great!  She still gets down-time, if not a nap for longer than 1.5hrs, and I keep my sanity.  Same goes for bedtime.  8pm is bedtime and if she doesn't go to sleep until 10, then so be it, but she is not getting out of her bed.  It really works brilliantly.
