Trying to Get Pregnant

We're TTC #3 and i need some advice ladies

Hi ladies,

DH and I are TTC #3. We love our girls being only 19mths apart and want the 3rd and final around the same. With the 1st 2 we didn't chart or anything. It took us a 1.5yr to get pregnant, and the second took 10mths and that was even with not using BC after our 1st. I have a history of ovarian cancer and was told I would never be able to have children so we are very blessed, hence the reason to start so young and wanting to have them close in age. God has blessed me and I have been cancer free for the past 5 years.  I was wondering if you guys had any advice on charting. What websites to use or things I can do. I would like to try to know my cycle better to increase my chances instead of just waiting to see what happens. I know that it will probably take awhile again, but hope charting might help. Any advice will be appreciated. TIA Good luck to all you ladies!! Hope we'll ALL be joining 1st Tri SOON!!

    I'm sorry about your history.
    Keep in mind that about
    98% of the women here
    have no babies, so there's
only so much we can do to
    help you out...

If you want to chart, read
    Taking Charge of Your
    Fertility and use Fertility
    Friend ( www.fertilityfriend.
    com ).  Good luck.

Why does the fact that she has two kids mean there's not much you can do to help? Getting pregnant is getting pregnant. That makes no sense. Anyway, best of luck to you OP. There are a bunch of women here TTC number 2 or 3, you will fit in just fine.
  • I chart using Fertility Friend and take my bbt to confirm ovulation....i dont have much advice, but i know alot of girls on here can help :)

I see you are from upstate SC, i am in Spartanburg/Moore area :)

  • You've already gotten some great advice. Just wanted to add welcome and good luck!
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I've been using ovulation predictor tests that I bought on-line (off Amazon).  They have really helped pinpoint my ovulation better than BBT did for me.  I test twice a day, and then once I get a positive, I try to have sex for the three nights after the positive OPK.

I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and liked it!  It was a pretty easy read.

    GL!

  • I think it's been covered:

    - Get a BBT to take your waking temperature

    - Check your CM each time you go to the bathroom

    - Chart it on fertilityfriend.com

    - Learn more about doing this from the tutorials on the website and/or the book Taking Charge of your Fertility.

    Good luck!! :)

  • Lol, I'm plenty calm POF, thanks. What you said was the equivalent of 'You don't belong here, but here's the website you need to chart'. But...ok. There are plenty of posters here who have kids. No big deal. It didn't need to be said. Carry on.
  • I live in the Spartanburg/Duncan area so we're right down the road from each other.  I've never known another bumpie from this area so thats neat! Good luck with TTC!!
